Join us on Tuesday, June 18 as our Kansas City friend Eileen Richling teaches us the Tranky Doo! The Tranky Doo is a solo jazz routine choreographed by swing dance legend Frankie Manning in the 1940s. When the right song comes on swing dancers around the world flood onto the social dance floor and all dance it together. It's upbeat, fun, and challenging--you're gonna love it!
The cost is $5 cash. No partner or prior dance experience necessary. The lesson lasts from 7:00-8:00 at the Jayhawk Theatre in downtown Topeka, with social dancing and practice time afterward to DJ-ed music until 8:45.
What to wear: Clothes you can move comfortably in, and comfy shoes that have a slippy sole (if possible).
